I enjoyed this week's reading material as I found that instead of looking at games as a series of building blocks that are like boxes needing to be ticked it examined something closer to what makes a player want to sit back and just enjoy the game they are playing. I was excited to read the case study on Mass Effect 2 as it is a game that is, in ways leaps and bounds ahead of of some story driven games of today. This can be seen when decisions made in the first game have a lasting and major impact on Mass Effect 2 and with so many RPGs a lot of decisions feel worthless or meaningless in the game's larger scope, something Mass Effect 2 avoids especially with one if not the greatest endgame missions from an immersive and interactive story point of view
